Dr. Asnan Furinto is a Senior Faculty at Bina Nusantara (Binus) University. He was one of the founders of DRM program, led a team of academics and industry experts to jointly construct the program curriculum and designs. He brings exceptional ability for combining rigorous academic approach with practical relevance to solving strategic management problems.
Asnan keeps his dual role consistently in the academia as well as in the business field.
Asnan started his career as an engineer at an Australian based manufacturing company. Upon earning his MBA, Asnan pursued further career in Marketing and Management. He was Trade Manager (South East Asia) of a shipping and integrated supply chain company (Samudera Indonesia) and was stationed in its Singapore regional office for 4 years. Asnan had also served as Country General Manager of PT. Sea Horse, a subsidiary of Amsbach Marine Pte Ltd (Singapore), a regional ship brokerage and agency.
He earned his Bachelor in Engineering from Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), the Indonesia’s most reputable higher education institution in science and engineering studies, and MBA from Monash University, Melbourne, Australia. In 2009, Asnan completed his Dr. in Management at University of Indonesia, with distinction.
